The classic strategy game comes to mobile. Feral Interactive has released a mobile version of its real-time strategy game, Total War: MEDIEVAL II. Here, players can experience the compelling battles for world domination between kingdoms straight from their smartphones.

This iteration of Total War: MEDIEVAL II offers a rendition of the game that is "without compromise." With this, everything will be the same as the original. However, the studio designed a new interface to make controlling your army easier on a small touchscreen. With this, you can still control hundreds of individual knights, archers, and foot soldiers during your battles.

Same compelling battles for world domination

Total War: MEDIEVAL II is a game first released back in 2006 as the fourth title in the Total War series. Like its predecessors, it takes players back to the medieval period between the years 1080 and 1530. Here, you assume control of a medieval state, known as faction, and battle enemy forces for domination. You control groups of soldiers and engage in turn-based battles.  

This game is the mobile version of the PC game. As mentioned, it brought everything you love about the game. However, it will feature a bespoke touch control setup and an improved iteration of the system found in Rome. With this, controlling different units and issuing commands is more streamlined. Additionally, the game will have better settlement management and campaign mechanics, which allows you to deploy more strategies than before.

Players should know, however, that this iteration will have fewer playable factions than the original version. Moreover, the app requires 4.38 GB of free space for it to run smoothly.  Not only that but there are limited models and brands of mobile devices it supports. If you are using an older model, you might find yourself disappointed as the developers will have you blocked from purchasing the game.

Should you play it?

If you are a fan of the Total War series, then this version of Total War: MEDIEVAL II will be for you. The game brought everything you love about the PC game to your mobile device. With this, you can enjoy thrilling battles on the go. However, in order to do so, you have to prepare a high-performing device with a lot of available storage space.
